Council Boss Commissions BYF Boat

The Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area, Hon. (Barr.) Edward E. Pepple has commissioned a W23 Speed boat purchased by the Bonny Youth Federation last Friday, at the Bonny Coal beach.
In his speech, the council boss commended the achievements of the BYF leadership within the short of their inauguration.
Hon. Pepple lauded the youths for assistance to move the LG Council forward.  He as…….. that his administration would always support groups that embark on development projects in the area.
Barr. Pepple who was a former BYF Youth leader stated that the local government council would always support the youths to pursue positive activities.
The council boss also charged the present youth leadership to embrace all youths in the area as the federal government has granted amnesty to repentant militants in the Niger Delta.
Hon. Pepple frowned over the high transport fare charged by boat operators in the area and appealed to them to revisit the charges.
He stated that government will not told its arms and watch individuals placing high charges indiscriminately on their foods and services.  He disclosed that the government is ready to put in more boats for effective transportation to and from Bonny with at moderate rates. In his remarks, the youth leader, Mr. Furo Gift pledged that the boat would carry only 20 passengers on its trip with a lesser price.
Mr. Furo also thanked the council boss for its assistance to the BYF and pledged that BYF would always support the council in all developmental programmers.
The youth leader noted that the boat will generate revenue to assist the BYF development agenda.
Many speakers at the occasion condemned the high charge by the Ibanise Transport Operators in addition to carrying excess passengers.
