Be patient with RSSDA, Ogunseye tells Rivers people

The Executive Director of Rives State Sustainable Development Agency (RSSDA), Mr. Bolaji Ogunseye has pleaded with the people of Rivers State to know that the agency is young and that they should be patient with them.
Mr. Ogunseye disclosed this recently at a current affairs programme on Rthym 93.7 in Port Harcourt.
He said” I feel privileged to serve in Rivers State and may be due to my abilities, although I was actually born in the state and that shows I have connection with the state”.
RSSDA Executive Director said in the next couple of months, the agency would be two years old and that in the last six months RSSDA had covered human capital development, special government intervention projects, workmanship and technical project which the facilities were on-going.
He said RSSDA had made some contributions in some communities through agriculture and that 50 persons are working at a fish form and that cassava forms are across the state.
He said, RSSDA was trying to open rural areas by sending mentors to plan ahead and to that effect, that a multi-purpose processing machine has been established, and since some farms products were time bound.
He said as a means to boost agriculture in the state, that there would be and establishment of agriculture that would take care of harvesting.
“We enlighten community members that they even donate their farmlands and embrace our ideas which afterwards will RSSDA facilitate the process and will not produce” he noted.
He said in Etche local government, Aquaculture was practiced and that RSSDA had 80 hectares of land that were cultivated, adding that the agency had targeted over 100 employments and basic analysis had been made with a taxable fund.
He said the agency was planning with communities in the local government areas to have a local government sustainable development plan and called on stakeholders, ministries and individuals to partner within.
As regards RSSDA scholarship team, he said, there has been a lot of challenges as some persons were disqualified due to age limit and others with forged identify.
