NDYPD commends NDDC on development

The Niger Delta Youth for Practical Development (NDYPD), a non-governmental organization has commended the Niger Delta Development Commission on speedy development.
The leader of NDYPD, comrade, Prince Tonye Jeminimienla made the commendation when about 1000 members of NDYPD paid a solidarity/advocacy visit to the Acting Managing Director of NDDC, Pastor P. Z. Aginighan in his office at Port Harcourt.
Prince Jeminimiema who also described Pastor Aginighan as a man with wealth of experience and a true son of Niger Delta who understands the peculiar problems of the youths as well as Niger Delta region said they were in his office to pledge their total support and also commend his appointment.
The group also saluted him on transparency, commitment and dedication to serve the people of Niger Delta region, explaining that NDYPD world wide is a non-governmental organization that cuts across the 185 local government areas in the Niger Delta region.He described the members as proactive youths who decided to channel their energy and contributing meaningfully towards the development of the society.
Prince Jeminimiema stated that the effort of Pastor Aginghan had proven that there are good leaders in the region, appealing to President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua to extend the tenure of Pastor P.Z. Aginighan and make him sole administrator because of the leadership qualities he has exhibited in his short stay in office.
The NDYPD leader condemned all forms of criminality and militancy in the area, advising those concern to take advantage of the Federal government amnesty to attract peace and development.
He urged the nine states co-ordinators to report all criminal activities in their area of operations to security agencies.
The leader called on the commission to assist and support the group to enable them grow from strength and also solicited for adequate funding of the commission (NDDC).
The group later appointed Pastor Power Ziakede Aginighan as their National grand patron with the mandate to give moral and fatherly advice.
In his response, Pastor Power Ziakede Aginighan, NDDC Acting MD/CEO thanked God for the success of the visit and thumbs up for the youth body.
Pastor Aginighan reiterated that as a preacher of the gospel he would back up his words with action and promised to work with the youth body to enable it achieve its goals.
He tasked the group to go and preach the gospel of peace in all the nooks and cranny of Niger Delta in order to bring sanity to the region.
The NDDC Acting MD/CEO also condemned the wanton destruction of lives and property in the region due to cultism, militancy and various crimes appealing to militants to accept the Federal government offer of amnesty and cease fire to avoid further blood shed.
